Dewar's, Scotch brand and Ocean Drive Magazine, held a cocktail party to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on October 6th. In tribute to Latin talent, the event showcased the artwork and photographs of renowned people in the art industry such as, painter Oliver Sanchez, along with star’s photographers Omar Cruz and Gio Alma.
Tthis celebration became the perfect occasion to celebrate and meet interesting people in the Hispanic community in the City of Miami, who shared the same pride of being “Latino“.

What was hot, cool, good and best?
Hot: The opening of the event with a fabulous performance by tango dancers Gabriela Schaffer and Luis Vivas.
Cool: The support given to the Hispanic community by Ocean Drive Magazine. In our interview with Michele Addison, Associate Publisher of Ocean Drive magazine, she let us know with great emotion, how pleased she was on providing support for these three visual artists. "I love to support Hispanic talent," said Addison " we have a magazine specifically dedicated to Hispanics".
The good: There is no doubt the talent of these three artists, Omar Cruz, Gio Alma and Oliver Sanchez .
Omar Cruz, with his unique selection of 8 photographs, showed his rapport with each artist, achieving the perfect balance in each photographs. "This is the first time I display my pictures in public," added Cruz. We immediately asked what was the favorite photo of Omar Cruz? "My favorite work is the photo sequence, performing with Ricky Martin." Replied Cruz.
For his part Gio Alma impacted with his potrait of the singer "Chayanne."
Oliver Sanchez, the Cuban painter was the favorite of many art lovers gathered at this time. Sanchez showed talent as well as sympathy. He also explained and analyzed his paintings “Algee Guy," " Nunsmoke" and "Pattyhearts" to the guests.
" I have been involved in art for a long time," Sanchez said "I love Miami, especially in these time when people of this city are giving more support to art.” Sanchez has his gallery Swampspace located in Miami's Design District.
Best: Once again 5 stars for Susan Spticianos's work and her Dream Team Agency. Susan has been doing an excellent job in Miami, supportting the Hispanic talent.
